We are seeking an experienced Project Manager – Marine to lead and deliver marine construction projects in the UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end project execution, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and on-site supervision, while ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, safety standards, and local regulations. The role requires strong coordination with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities Project Planning & Execution- Manage marine construction projects from initiation through completion
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and work programs
- Ensure timely execution in line with contractual obligations and project milestones
- Prepare and manage project budgets, cost control, and cash flow
- Monitor variations, claims, and change orders
- Ensure effective contract administration in accordance with FIDIC and local regulations
- Supervise site activities including marine works such as dredging, piling, quay walls, breakwaters, and marine structures
- Ensure construction works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and method statements
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to resolve technical issues
- Ensure full compliance with HSE policies, marine safety regulations, and environmental standards
- Implement and monitor quality assurance and quality control procedures
- Promote a strong safety culture across all project activities
- Act as the main point of contact with clients, consultants, and authorities
- Lead progress meetings and provide regular project updates and reports
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to support project success
- Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, and marine resources
- Manage subcontractors and suppliers to ensure performance, quality, and schedule adherence
Review subcontractor progress, payments, and deliverables - Prepare progress reports, cost reports, and forecasts for senior management
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Monitor performance indicators to ensure project objectives that they are met.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related discipline is required.
A minimum of 20 years of experience in infrastructure/Building construction projects is essential, with proven experience managing large-scale marine works in the Oman or GCC region.
- MBA and PMP certification preferred.
Strong understanding of marine construction methodologies, including dredging, piling, quay walls, breakwaters, and coastal structures.
In-depth knowledge of FIDIC contracts, project controls, and UAE construction regulations.
Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams and manage subcontractors effectively.
Systems & ToolsStrong planning, scheduling, and cost-control skills with hands-on experience in Primavera P6 or MS Project.
Proficiency in ERP systems, project management software, and the full Microsoft Office Suite.
Communication & ManagementExcellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver projects under tight timelines.
