The project

The programme includes the development of a state‑of‑the‑art port facility with the capacity to process millions of tonnes of bulk cargo annually, incorporating marine infrastructure, landside logistics, transportation links, utilities, and operational facilities. Scheduled for completion later this decade, the project represents one of the region's most significant port and industrial infrastructure investments.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a complex, large‑scale development that will play a pivotal role in supporting economic diversification, industrial growth, and global supply chain connectivity. Candidates will have the chance to work alongside multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic environment, helping to shape a strategic piece of infrastructure with long‑term regional impact.

You’ll be responsible for:
  • Supervise the construction of jetties, berths, revetments, piling, and associated marine structures.
  • Ensure full compliance with contract requirements, technical specifications and approved design.
  • Maintain full‑time site presence, driving safe, high‑quality and on‑schedule delivery.
  • Monitor materials and workmanship, including testing of concrete, reinforcement and structural elements.
  • Inspect formwork, reinforcement, and structural steel, ensuring alignment, levels and installation accuracy.
  • Review contractor inspection requests, approve works or raise non‑conformance reports where required.
  • Verify precast elements meet design and quality standards.
  • Ensure structural tolerances are achieved across substructure and superstructure works.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integration of civil provisions.
  • Support defect resolution during the liability period.
  • Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
You’ll need to have:
  • Registered Civil Engineer with a degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 15+ years’ experience, including 6+ years in port and marine construction.
  • Proven experience on at least two breakwater projects in a similar capacity.
  • Strong site supervision and quality assurance capability in marine works.
  • Proven consultancy background.
  • Effective communicator with analytical capability and ability to engage, influence and build trusted stakeholder relationships.
