About The Job:
We are seeking a highly experienced and senior Senior Resident Engineer to lead the site supervision and contract administration for a major marine infrastructure project in Oman. The project involves the construction of large-scale breakwaters and coastal protection works.
The successful candidate will act as the Client’s primary technical representative on-site. Given the scale and complexity of the project, this role requires a commercially astute engineer with a proven track record in managing FIDIC contracts, navigating complex claims, and ensuring strict adherence to technical specifications and quality standards.
Critical Requirement:This is a senior profile position. The selected candidate must be approved by the Client prior to mobilization.
Key Responsibilitie- sAct as the Engineer’s Representative under the FIDIC Conditions of Contract (preferably Red/Yellow Book)
- .Oversee all site construction activities with a specific focus on marine concrete structures, breakwater armoring (rock/accropode), and dredging/filling works
- .Ensure that construction methodologies for marine works comply with project specifications, international standards, and Omani maritime regulations
- .Review and approve contractor submissions, method statements, and material approvals (specifically for marine aggregates and concrete mixes)
- .Implement rigorous quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) protocols for underwater and tidal zone construction
- tLead a multi-disciplinary site team (Engineers, Inspectors, QA/QC) to deliver the project on time and within budget
- .Serve as the primary point of contact for the Client, Contractor, and Design Consultant on site
- .Chair weekly progress meetings, prepare detailed monthly progress reports, and present technical updates to senior management
- .Manage the interface between the construction team and the operations/maintenance teams regarding commissioning and handover

:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Marine/Coastal Engineerin - Experience

Minimum of 15-20 years of post-graduate experience, with at least 10 years in a senior site management role (Resident Engineer or Construction Manager - Marine Experience
