Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Estimation Engineer to join our tendering and estimation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing tender documents, analysing project requirements, preparing accurate quantity take-offs, and converting tender requirements into clear, measurable, and priceable bill items. The role requires strong technical knowledge of infrastructure and road construction projects and a solid understanding of the UAE

Key Responsibilities
  • Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
  • Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for infrastructure and road construction projects.
  • Convert tender requirements into clear, measurable, and priceable BOQ items.
  • Analyse project scope, identify risks and opportunities, and support bid strategy development.
  • Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and tendering teams during bid preparation.
  • Prepare technical and commercial cost breakdowns for management review.
  • Ensure compliance with client specifications, local regulations, and company procedures.
  • Support value engineering and cost optimization initiatives during the tender stage.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years' experience in UAE construction, preferably infrastructure and road projects.
  • Proven experience in quantity surveying, cost estimation, and tender preparation.
  • Strong understanding of UAE construction practices, rates, and market conditions.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Proficient in Excel and estimation software.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tender deadlines.
  • Preferred: experience with roadworks, highways, bridges, utilities, drainage, and other infrastructure projects; familiarity with FIDIC contracts and UAE government tender requirements (RTA, municipalities, other public authorities).
