Galfar Engineering & Contracting SAOG is looking for an experienced Sr. Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Oman.
Key Requirements:- Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant post-qualification experience in Quantity Surveying.
- Experience in oil & gas, EPC, construction, engineering, or maintenance contracts.
- Strong experience in post-contract quantity surveying and commercial management.
- Experience in monthly valuations, measurements, re-measurements and final accounts.
- Good knowledge of variations, claims, disputes, rate analysis and price escalation.
- Experience in reviewing BOQ, MTO/BOM and contract changes.
- Good commercial and contractual understanding.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and related computer applications.
- Strong communication, coordination and negotiation skills.
- Manage and coordinate quantity surveying activities and site measurements.
- Prepare monthly valuations, variations and final accounts.
- Review and evaluate subcontractor claims and commercial submissions.
- Monitor quantities, materials, labour and plant records against contract requirements.
- Support cost estimation and commercial reporting.
- Review BOQs, MTOs/BOMs and changes during engineering and construction stages.
- Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, clients and consultants on commercial matters.
