Architectural Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Architectural Engineer to support the design and delivery of a utility-scale Solar IPP project. The successful candidate will be responsible for architectural design, coordination and technical review of the project's buildings and ancillary facilities, working closely with civil, structural, electrical and mechanical and relevant disciplines. Further requirements for this position are as follows:

• Develop and review architectural designs, layouts, drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate the design of O&M buildings, control buildings, administration facilities, warehouses, security buildings and other ancillary facilities.
• Coordinate architectural requirements with civil, structural, electrical and mechanical disciplines.
• Review architectural drawings, shop drawings, material submittals and technical documentation.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, fire and life-safety requirements and local regulations.
• Participate in design reviews, technical meetings and construction coordination.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor architectural works during construction.
• Review contractor submissions, RFIs, method statements and material proposals related to architectural works.
• Support the project team during construction, testing, commissioning and handover.
• Ensure architectural works meet project quality, programme and contractual requirements.

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in power plants, Solar PV/IPP, industrial, infrastructure or major development projects is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of architectural design, building materials, finishes and construction methods.
• Good understanding of applicable building, fire, life-safety and accessibility requirements.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit/BIM.
• Experience in reviewing construction drawings, shop drawings and material submittals.
• Strong multidisciplinary coordination and communication skills.
• Professional registration/certification is an advantage.

Experience on utility-scale Solar PV, IPP, power generation or major infrastructure projects in Oman or the GCC, with familiarity with local site conditions, construction practices and regulatory requirements.
