The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Modern College of Business and Science (MCBS) invites applications for a full‑time faculty position in Physics. The successful candidate will teach physics courses, conduct scholarly and applied research, support student learning and contribute to quality assurance, accreditation, curriculum development and community engagement activities.

- Emerging Applications
- Teach undergraduate physics courses in face‑to‑face, online and blended learning modes.
- Develop course syllabi, laboratory manuals, digital learning materials, assessment tools, rubrics and course files aligned with learning outcomes.
- Integrate modern teaching methodologies, simulations, laboratory technologies and real‑world applications into classroom instruction.
- Conduct research and publish in peer‑reviewed journals; contribute to research projects, grants, consultancy and community engagement activities.
- Advise and mentor students, supervise projects and support academic and career development initiatives.
- Participate in curriculum review, program assessment, accreditation activities and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) processes.
- Contribute to departmental committees, outreach activities and institutional service initiatives.
Assistant Professor:
PhD in Physics, Applied Physics or Computational Physics from a recognized university.
Lecturer:
Master’s degree in Physics, Applied Physics or Computational Physics from a recognized university (Omanis preferred).
- Evidence of effective teaching physics at the university level.
- Ability to teach physics laboratory and theory courses.
- Experience in online and hybrid teaching using modern educational technologies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in student advising and mentoring.
- Research expertise in areas of Physics, Applied Physics or Computational Physics.
- Experience with laboratory management and experimental research.
- Professional certifications or industry experience relevant to physics applications.
- Experience with curriculum development, program assessment, and accreditation processes.
