Head of Department for Maths required for international school in Muscat, Oman to start August 2026.

The Role

You will be teaching and leading at the secondary level as part of a thriving Mathematics department, using the UK curriculum.

Requirements
  • UK PGCE, or other teaching qualification giving UK QTS.
  • Minimum 3 years’ post-qualifying relevant teaching experience.
  • Familiarity with the Cambridge / UK curriculum.
  • Ability to stretch the most able while supporting all learners.
  • Passion for inspiring a love of learning.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Confident use of ICT to enhance learning.
  • Energetic, positive, and solution-focused, with a good sense of humour.
  • Willingness to contribute beyond the classroom.
  • Previous international experience and/or working with students for whom English is not their first language will be an advantage.
  • Clear criminal record.
  • Ability to provide relevant references and documents including passport and qualification certificates.
