Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high‑quality Physics lessons aligned with the school's curriculum.
  • Develop lesson plans that meet curriculum objectives and address students' learning needs.
  • Conduct laboratory experiments and practical activities while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Assess, monitor, and evaluate students' academic progress using a variety of assessment methods.
  • Prepare and mark assignments, quizzes, tests, and examinations.
  • Maintain accurate student records and provide timely academic reports.
  • Foster a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Participate in school meetings, professional development activities, and extracurricular programs.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding students' academic progress and well-being.
  • Comply with all school policies, procedures, and safeguarding requirements.
Academic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Physics, Applied Physics, or a closely related field.
  • Recognized teaching qualification, such as a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.), PGCE, Postgraduate Diploma in Education, or an equivalent teaching certification.
  • Master's degree in Physics or Education is an advantage.
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in Physics.
  • Experience teaching the Cambridge IGCSE and AS/A Level curriculum or another recognized international curriculum is preferred.
  • Experience preparing students for external examinations.
Required Skills
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Excellent planning, organization, and time‑management skills.
  • Ability to explain scientific concepts clearly and inspire student learning.
  • Competence in conducting laboratory experiments safely and effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and educational technology platforms.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multicultural school environment.
Preferred Skills
  • Familiarity with the Cambridge Assessment International Education curriculum.
  • Ability to teach IGCSE and AS/A Level Physics.
  • Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS), such as Google Classroom or Microsoft Teams.
  • Knowledge of inquiry‑based and student‑centered teaching methodologies.
Preferred Certifications
  • Valid teaching license (where applicable).
  • Safeguarding and Child Protection training.
  • Professional development certificates related to Physics education or educational technology.
