Overview
We are hiring a Junior Librarian to join our library team in Muscat. As a Junior Librarian you will be responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the library and providing support to the senior librarians. This is an entry‑level position suitable for freshers or those with limited experience in the field.
Responsibilities- Assist with cataloguing and organising library materials
- Help patrons with locating materials and using library resources
- Assist with circulation duties including checking in and out materials
- Maintain a neat and organized library space
- Provide basic reference services to patrons
- Participate in collection development activities such as selecting new materials for the library
- Help plan and implement library programs and events
- Bachelors degree in Library Science or related field preferred
- Fluent in English spoken and written
- Familiarity with Dewey Decimal System and other library classification systems
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Friendly demeanor and excellent customer service skills
Salary: 1500$ per month based on qualifications and experience.
