English Teacher

Plan prepare and deliver high-quality English lessons in accordance with the approved curriculum Develop lesson plans that meet curriculum objectives and address students diverse learning needs Teach English language skills including reading writing listening speaking grammar vocabulary and literature Use a variety of effective teaching strategies to promote student engagement critical thinking and communication skills Prepare administer and mark assignments quizzes tests and examinations Monitor assess and evaluate students academic progress providing timely and constructive feedback Maintain accurate records of student attendance achievement and assessment results Create a positive inclusive and stimulating learning environment that supports language acquisition and student development Integrate educational technology and digital resources to enhance teaching and learning Participate in departmental meetings school events extracurricular activities and professional development programs Communicate effectively with parents regarding students academic progress and well-being when required Collaborate with colleagues to support curriculum development and continuous school improvement Comply with all school policies safeguarding requirements health and safety regulations and professional standards

Excellent English communication skills both written and spoken Strong classroom management skills Excellent knowledge of English language teaching methodologies Strong planning organizational and time management skills Ability to develop students language proficiency and communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Google Workspace and educational technology platforms Strong analytical problem-solving and critical-thinking skills Ability to work collaboratively within a multicultural environment

Familiarity with the Cambridge International Curriculum Experience teaching English at the Primary Lower Secondary IGCSE or AS amp A Level Experience using Learning Management Systems LMS such as Google Classroom or Microsoft Teams Knowledge of differentiated instruction and student-centered learning strategies

Bachelor's degree in English Language, English Literature, English Language Teaching (ELT), TESOL, TEFL, Applied Linguistics, or a related field. A recognized teaching qualification such as a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.), PGCE, Postgraduate Diploma in Education, or an equivalent teaching certification is preferred. A Master's degree in English, Education, or a related field is an advantage. A valid IELTS certificate is required with an overall band score of at least 6.0 for Omani applicants and 7.0 for non-Omani applicants.

A minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience. Experience teaching the Cambridge International Curriculum or another recognized international curriculum is preferred. Experience preparing students for national or international examinations is an advantage.

Valid teaching license (where applicable). A valid IELTS certificate with an overall band score of at least 6.0 for Omani applicants and 7.0 for non-Omani applicants. Cambridge Professional Development training or certification. Safeguarding and Child Protection certification.
