Music Teacher – Classical & Western Music

We are inviting applications from qualified experienced and passionate Music Teachers with expertise in Indian Classical and or Western Music.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging music education, developing students musical abilities, and preparing students for school-level and inter-school performances and competitions.

• Plan and deliver effective music lessons in accordance with the school s curriculum and academic objectives
• Teach strong Indian Classical and or Western Vocal Instrumental Music strong based on expertise
• Develop students skills in strong singing rhythm melody notation musical expression and performance strong
• Identify and nurture students with musical talent and provide appropriate guidance
• Train and prepare students for strong school functions annual events assemblies competitions concerts and cultural programmes strong
• Conduct music rehearsals and coordinate performances involving students from different sections
• Encourage students to participate in inter‑school and external music competitions
• Maintain and manage musical instruments equipment and other resources
• Support the development of the school s music clubs ensembles choir bands and other performing‑arts activities
• Collaborate with teachers and coordinators for cultural events and interdisciplinary programmes
• Maintain appropriate records of lesson plans student progress activities and participation
• Ensure a safe inclusive and positive learning environment for all students
• Participate in professional development programmes and contribute to the overall development of the school

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Music or a relevant discipline from a recognised institution.
• Relevant professional qualification in Indian Classical Music and/or Western Music will be an advantage.
• Qualification should meet applicable CBSE/Indian school norms.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant teaching experience preferred.
• Experience teaching music in a CBSE/Indian curriculum school will be an advantage.
• Demonstrated experience in preparing students for competitions, concerts, cultural programmes, and stage performances is preferred.

• Strong command of Indian Classical and/or Western Music.
• Proficiency in relevant vocal or musical instruments.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to work with students across different age groups.
• Ability to organise choirs, bands, ensembles, and musical performances.
• Creativity, patience, enthusiasm, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, coordinators, and school leadership.
• Good organisational and event‑management skills.

• Candidates must be able to provide valid experience certificates for previous employment.
• Candidates should meet the applicable Oman Ministry of Education and school employment requirements.
• IELTS score of 6.5 or above is recommended, where applicable.
• Candidates with strong stage‑performance and competition‑training experience will be given preference.
