Librarian for International School

Librarian for International School in Muscat, Oman

We are seeking a qualified Librarian to join our international school in Muscat, Oman. As the Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the school library and providing resources and services that support the educational goals of our students. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1800$, including accommodation and visa sponsorship.

• Manage the school library and its resources, including books, magazines, and digital resources
• Assist students in finding appropriate materials for research and leisure reading
• Plan and organize library activities such as book clubs and reading challenges
• Maintain an organized and user-friendly library space
• Collaborate with teachers to support curriculum objectives through library resources
• Train students in information literacy skills, such as research techniques and proper citation methods

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience working as a librarian or in a library setting
• Experience working with children and young adults preferred
• Knowledge of library systems and cataloging methods
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic language skills are a plus)
