The Opportunity

Due to the continued growth and success of Cheltenham Muscat, we are seeking to appoint an exceptional and experienced Teacher of BTEC Business (Level
3)
to join our thriving Senior School.

The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and delivering an outstanding BTEC Business (Level
3) curriculum, ensuring students achieve excellent academic outcomes while developing the professional skills required for higher education and future careers. The position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the continued growth of one of the leading British international schools in Oman.

The School

Cheltenham Muscat opened in September 2021 and is Oman's first, premium, British school, for boys and girls aged 3 to 18. The Person

We are looking for a committed teacher who is passionate about their work and motivated by the opportunity to inspire our wonderful students. The successful candidate will have high expectations of themselves and their students, both in the classroom and beyond, with positive outlook and the ability to build strong relationships with all members of our school community.

Please note that candidates must have at least 3 full years of relevant teaching experience in order to obtain a work permit to teach in Oman.

  • Remain up to date with developments in vocational education and business qualifications.
Key Responsibilities Teaching and Learning
  • Deliver engaging, innovative and challenging lessons in BTEC Level 3 Business.
  • Plan and implement high-quality schemes of work and lesson plans aligned to Pearson BTEC specifications.
  • Monitor, assess and track student progress whilst providing timely, constructive and meaningful feedback to students.
  • Maintain accurate assessment records and ensure compliance with awarding body requirements.
  • Ensure lessons in the department are differentiated appropriately using approaches that enable students to access the learning and make excellent progress.
Assessment
  • To follow school procedures for assessing, recording and reporting on children's achievements and to use this information effectively to convey progress in report writing and record keeping.
