The Opportunity

Due to the continued growth and success of Cheltenham Muscat, we are seeking to appoint an exceptional and experienced Teacher of BTEC Business (Level
3) to join our thriving Senior School.

The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and delivering an outstanding BTEC Business (Level
3) curriculum, ensuring students achieve excellent academic outcomes while developing the professional skills required for higher education and future careers. The position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the continued growth of one of the leading British international schools in Oman.

Cheltenham Muscat opened in September 2021 and is Oman's first, premium, British school, for boys and girls aged 3 to 18. Please note that candidates must have at least 3 full years of relevant teaching experience in order to obtain a work permit to teach in Oman.

• Contribute to the development and review of the Business curriculum.
• Ensure assignments are internally verified and assessed in accordance with Pearson BTEC standards.
• Support standardisation activities and quality assurance procedures.
• Maintain accurate student portfolios and assessment documentation.
• Remain up to date with developments in vocational education and business qualifications.

• Deliver engaging, innovative and challenging lessons in BTEC Level 3 Business.
• Plan and implement high-quality schemes of work and lesson plans aligned to Pearson BTEC specifications.
• Monitor, assess and track student progress whilst providing timely, constructive and meaningful feedback to students.
• Maintain accurate assessment records and ensure compliance with awarding body requirements.
• Ensure lessons in the department are differentiated appropriately using approaches that enable students to access the learning and make excellent progress.
