Master’s degree in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or English Language & Literature.
CELTA or TEFL certification.
IELTS score of 7.0 or above

2- 5 Years

Job Description:

Learning & Teaching

To take primary responsibility for the coordination,administration and teaching of one or more English language courses per semester.

To deliver high quality English language teaching to students atpost-secondary and undergraduate level.

To prepare the course outline, assessments and the assignments for the course.

To evaluate the effectiveness of the course/s that s/hecoordinates at the end of the semester.

To identify best and innovative practice in language education,learning and teaching and build it intopersonal teaching practice

To serve as academic advisor to those students assigned tohim/her

To serve on various committees and working groups within the college when requested to do so by his/her Head of Department, the Vice Dean orthe Dean.

To assist in the teaching of a course supervised by anotherfaculty member when requested to do so by the Head of Department.

To maintain regular attendance record of students.

To mentor and supervise the Teaching Assistant/s and new facultyassigned to him/her by the Head of the Department.

To contribute actively to initiatives which identify new andbest practice in teaching and learning and promote it across the College.

To ensure that professional practice insights and materials arebuilt into the curriculum

To take lead responsibility for a program area, subject orcourse, as required.

To enhance student experience and outcomes.

To discharge proctoring duties assigned by the Exam Office/ Headof the Department

To perform any other tasks assigned by the HOD, Dean or Vice Dean.

Requirement /

Skills:

A minimum of 2 years of experience in teaching English at the tertiary level.

Experience in teaching English for Specific Purposes (ESP), curriculum design, and ESL test construction.
