Librarian

Librarian - Muscat, Oman

We are currently hiring for a Librarian to join our team in Muscat, Oman. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing our collection of books and other resources. Your role will also include assisting patrons with finding materials, providing reference services, and maintaining library systems.

• Manage library collections and ensure they are organized and easily accessible for patrons.
• Assist patrons with finding materials and provide recommendations based on their needs.
• Provide reference services to help patrons with research or information inquiries.
• Maintain library systems such as cataloging, circulation, and online databases.
• Develop and implement programs to promote literacy and engage the community in library services.
• Keep up-to-date with new trends in library science and technology to improve services.
• Train and supervise support staff or volunteers.

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field.
• Previous experience working in a library setting preferred.
• Knowledge of library systems and cataloging procedures.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work well with diverse groups of people.

Salary: 900$ per month (tax-free)
