Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality English lessons in line with the school's curriculum.
- Develop students’ reading comprehension, creative writing, grammar, vocabulary and analytical skills.
- Encourage critical thinking, creativity and effective communication through a variety of learning activities.
- Use differentiated teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with varying abilities and learning styles.
- Assess, monitor and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback to support improvement.
- Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment that promotes participation and independent learning.
- Use a range of teaching resources and educational technologies to enhance learning outcomes.
- Promote a love of reading and encourage students to explore a wide range of literary and non-fiction texts.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and school leadership to support student achievement.
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding, student welfare and professional conduct.
Position Requirements
Bachelor,
3+ Years
work experience Candidate Requirements
- A recognised teaching qualification, such as a
B.Ed. or PGCE, preferably in English or a related subject. - A degree in English, English Literature or a relevant discipline.
- Previous experience teaching English in an international school is highly desirable.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging, well-structured lessons.
- Experience differentiating instruction and using assessment to support student progress.
- Excellent communication, classroom management and organisational skills.
- A commitment to high academic standards, student wellbeing and continuous professional development.
- A flexible, collaborative and positive approach to working within a multicultural school community.
- Availability to start immediately or at the earliest possible date.
