OT Cybersecurity Engineer (Industrial)
Location:
Oman (site-based)
We are seeking an experienced OT Cybersecurity Engineer to secure operational technology environments in live industrial projects. This role ensures plant availability, safety, and compliance while leveraging virtualization technologies.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement OT cybersecurity architectures for industrial environments
- Secure DCS, PLC, SCADA, and Safety Systems in live plant conditions
- Implement IT/OT network segmentation (zones & conduits, DMZs)
- Conduct OT cyber risk assessments and gap analyses
- Support compliance with IEC 62443 and industrial cybersecurity standards
- Work closely with control engineers, IT teams, and site operations
- Utilize VMware and virtualization technologies (e.g., virtualized IC environments, segmented virtual machines) to enhance security and resilience
- Support vulnerability management and OT incident response activities
- Strong background in OT/industrial cybersecurity
- Experience securing industrial control systems (DCS, SCADA, PLC, Safety)
- Solid working knowledge of IEC 62443
- Hands‑on experience with VMware or similar virtualization in OT contexts
- Experience working at the IT/OT boundary
- Site-based experience in oil & gas, energy, utilities, or heavy industry
- Experience with industrial firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco)
- Prior GCC / Middle East project exposure
