Role Overview
We are seeking a technically competent Fire Site / Service Engineer with a Mechanical Engineering background to manage and supervise fire fighting and fire alarm works at project sites in Muscat.
The ideal candidate will oversee planning, coordination, and execution of fire protection systems while ensuring full compliance with approved drawings, authority requirements, international standards, and project specifications.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Oman or other GCC countries.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise installation of fire fighting and fire alarm systems as per approved drawings, specifications, and authority regulations
- Coordinate daily site activities related to fire protection systems including piping, pumps, valves, sprinklers, hose reels, hydrants, and alarm devices
- Review and coordinate shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements
- Ensure compliance with NFPA standards, Civil Defence requirements, and project specifications
- Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams for smooth execution
- Monitor quality of workmanship and materials to ensure adherence to approved standards
- Conduct regular site inspections and implement corrective actions for non-conformities
- Support testing, flushing, pressure testing, commissioning, and authority inspections
- Maintain proper documentation including inspections, test reports, as-built drawings, and handover documents
- Prepare daily and weekly progress reports and support project planning activities
- Ensure strict compliance with HSE policies and site safety procedures
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Proven experience as a Fire Site Engineer or similar role in fire fighting / fire alarm systems
- Strong knowledge of fire protection systems and related components
- Good understanding of NFPA standards, Fire & Life Safety requirements, and Civil Defence approvals
- Experience in Oman or other GCC countries is preferred
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (knowledge of coordination drawings is an advantage)
- Strong site coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced construction environment
