Job DetailsJob Title: Protection Engineer
Location: Oman, Masirah
As a Protection Engineer in the Transmission & Distribution department you will ensure compliance with OETC standards by reviewing protection system designs, relay settings, and logic diagrams. You will coordinate with stakeholders, witness testing activities, and support approvals to guarantee safe and reliable operation of protection systems.
YourKey Responsibilities
- Design review of CTs & VTs requirement as per decided SLD and their sizing calculation.
- Design review of PMD (Protection & Metering Diagram) as per OETC philosophy and standards.
- Design review of BLD (Block Logic Diagram).
- Relay list review to meet OETC related documents and standards.
- Coordination with CRP builders and scheme drawing review to match requirements.
- Relay setting calculation review.
- Represent OETC and witness protection testing activities.
- Coordinate with respective OETC protection staff for approvals and testing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in protection engineering.
- Experienced in reviewing protection system designs and relay settings.
- Skilled in coordination with contractors and stakeholders.
- Knowledgeable in OETC standards and protection philosophies.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- Detail‑oriented and proactive in resolving technical issues.
- Previous OETC approval will be highly preferred.
