Planning Engineer; MEP

We are recruiting for the next Planning Engineer (MEP) to join a dynamic project team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the planning and successful delivery of major construction projects, working alongside experienced professionals on high-value developments.

We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has exceptional planning and analytical skills, and can confidently manage project schedules from inception through to completion.

• Develop, maintain, and update detailed project programmes using Primavera P6.
• Prepare baseline programmes, look-ahead schedules, recovery programmes, and progress updates.
• Monitor project progress against approved schedules, identifying delays, risks, and critical path activities.
• Produce weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and programme analysis.
• Liaise with project managers, design teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure programme objectives are achieved.
• Carry out critical path and earned value analysis where required.
• Assist with resource planning, forecasting, and productivity monitoring.
• Support Extension of Time (EOT) claims and delay analysis.
• Ensure project planning complies with contractual requirements and project milestones.

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Planning Engineer, with significant exposure to MEP construction projects.
• Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6 is essential.
• Experience using Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office Suite is advantageous.
• Sound understanding of project planning principles, scheduling techniques, and project controls.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Excellent knowledge of critical path methodology (CPM), resource loading, and programme reporting.
• Experience preparing baseline programmes, revised programmes, and progress reporting.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of construction contracts.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to analyse complex project data and provide practical planning solutions.
• Previous experience working on large-scale commercial, residential, healthcare, industrial, or infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
• GCC or Middle East experience is advantageous but not essential.
