Overview
Review of design inputs and optimization of electrical systems for surface facilities, well-heads, separators, multiphase pumps, gas treatment and compression systems. Awareness of midstream processes. Hands-on experience in erecting, installing and testing electrical systems and supporting electrical requirements for artificial lift systems (ESP, gas lift, pumps, VFDs). Ensure power distribution systems are designed for maximum uptime and efficiency. Provide electrical engineering support during drilling and well construction activities, cementing and acidizing operations, production start-up and shutdown activities.
Review and support development of P& PFD from an electrical and instrumentation perspective. Electrical load lists, single-line diagrams, and power studies for heavy duty electrical equipment. Support digital asset optimization initiatives and smart field technologies. Asset integrity and reliability: monitor and maintain electrical equipment reliability to prevent downtime. Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for electrical system failures. Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs for critical electrical assets.
Reservoir and production support: work closely with reservoir and production teams to ensure electrical systems support optimal production rates and apply fluid mechanics and thermodynamic principles in production systems from an electrical interface standpoint. Health, Safety & Environment: ensure all electrical systems and operations comply with local and international HSE regulations and electrical safety standards (IEC, IEEE, NEC, ATEX, IECEx).
