Principal Reservoir Engineer

Responsibilities- Conduct workflows pertaining to reserves maturation, well testing, field development planning, and update reservoir management strategies.
- Monitor activities including well surveillance, fluid sampling, well testing, and completion operations.
- Work with multidisciplinary teams to apply reservoir engineering practices: well‑test design and analysis, reservoir simulation, reserves evaluation and estimation.
- Direct lab workflows, manage lab data, perform PVT data analysis, develop EoS models, BOT, draft final reports, and present post‑project reviews with business units.
- Provide guidance to the Manager of ABB Development and Reservoir Team to maintain high technical standards.
- Guide development plans and programs as required by the Manager of ABB Development.
- Guide fluid‑characterization studies for understanding fluid distribution in the field.
- Guide analysis and interpretation of RFT/MDT data.
- Participate in integrated field studies for maturing hydrocarbon resources.
- Evaluate well reservoir performance and recommend production improvement opportunities.
- Guide reservoir‑engineering input to business planning, reserve evaluation, and well proposals.
- Work with other disciplines on hydrocarbon maturation to further develop the asset.
- Coach and mentor early‑career professionals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent.
- Excellent knowledge of written, read, and spoken English (required).
- Arabic – native (desirable).
- 10+ years experience in Reservoir Engineering within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Proficiency in industry‑standard reservoir engineering packages such as Kappa, Saphir, OFM, Eclipse.
- Experience with reservoir management, reservoir simulation, reserves evaluation, and production operations and completion procedures.
- Experience in tight gas reservoirs is a plus.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams.
- Leadership of multidisciplinary integrated teams and contribution to exploration opportunity risk assessment and ranking.
- Participation or contribution to technical reviews, audits, and preparation of Field Development Plans.
- Self‑starter with ability to multitask while maintaining priorities.
- Technical competence: computer literacy including MS Office, project‑management skills.

Subsurface Development, Exploration, Well Delivery, Facilities, Operations, Supply Chain. - External:
Contractors, Technical Committees.
- Field operations and office environment.
- Computer screen use.
