Senior Mechanical Technical Office Engineer
Position Overview
EDECS is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Technical Office Engineer to execute complex MEP engineering designs while providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers. Working closely with the Team Leader, this role ensures the quality, accuracy, and compliance of engineering deliverables while supporting the successful coordination and execution of project requirements.
Responsibilities:Advanced Design & Technical Execution Complex Design Tasks
- Perform advanced engineering design for various MEP systems, including calculations, load analysis, and equipment selection.
- Ensure all designs comply with project specifications, engineering standards, and client requirements.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, layouts, and technical specifications for complex MEP system components.
- Develop construction and installation drawings that support accurate project execution.
- Ensure all designs and technical documentation comply with applicable local and international building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Incorporate regulatory requirements throughout the design and documentation process.
- Prepare, review, and validate technical submittals, material data sheets, and vendor proposals.
- Ensure submitted documents meet project specifications, technical requirements, and client expectations.
- Assist in preparing technical reports, engineering summaries, and project progress updates for internal meetings and management reviews.
- Maintain clear, accurate, and well-organized technical documentation.
- Coordinate MEP design activities with structural, architectural, and other engineering disciplines to ensure design integration and conflict resolution.
- Support multidisciplinary collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
- Participate actively in project meetings, coordination sessions, and design reviews.
- Provide technical expertise, present design solutions, and represent the engineering team on assigned technical matters.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the related field
- Previous experience in the construction industry is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
