JOB DESCRIPTION:
Renardet is seeking for a Procurement Specialist that should be highly qualified and experienced in their respective field, having professional work experience in the Sultanate of Oman. The Expert will be responsible for managing procurement process for mine equipment and MHS and all issues to the related subject and work closely with a dedicated team of engineers. Further requirements for this position are as follows:
- Manage procurement process for mine equipment and MHS, including:
- Crushers (primary & secondary)
- Feeders, screens, and auxiliary systems
- Conveyors and bulk material handling equipment
- Review and coordinate technical specifications with engineering teams
- Prepare and manage tendering process (RFQs, bid evaluations, technical/commercial comparisons)
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors during procurement phase
- Monitor production, inspection, and delivery schedules of equipment
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and contractual requirements
- Coordinate Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and inspections
- Manage procurement risks affecting installation and commissioning schedule
- Coordinate with Mechanical Engineer and Mine Engineer for equipment readiness and site requirements
- Support logistics planning and delivery to site
- All other activities, which are associated with those responsibilities
- Ensure the implementation of ICV as per the Oman Investment Authority “OIA” mandates
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quantity Surveying or Supply Chain / Procurement.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in a similar position in mining domain with specific experience in procurement of industrial / mining / bulk material handling equipment.
