Installation, service and maintenance of Varex Imaging Security & Inspection Products (SIP) with limited supervision.

Provides (in co-operation with senior support engineers and / or the supervisor) technical assistance on-site and / or by phone to customers, to maintain high quality performance of Varex Imaging Security & Inspection products Worldwide

Extensive local and international travel is to be expected and sometimes with little notice in order to meet Contractual obligations.

Major responsibilities:

Install, maintain and repair to the highest standard, Varex Imaging Security& Inspection Products with limited technical or direct supervision. Instruct customers in operation and maintenance of Varex Imaging Security & Inspection Products.

Maintain customer confidence through professional communication & technical expertise, including efficient and effective troubleshooting. Act as a loyal representative of Varex Imaging, showing high confidence in the company and the company’s products.

Provide phone support and troubleshooting directions to customers in close cooperation with specialists from other geographical areas.

Act as a product specialist. Bring safety problems and repetitive costlyrepair problems to the attention of senior support specialists and / or the local area manager.

Report his / her activity within the expected time frame on standard forms (i.e. service reports, weekly time sheets, expense reports, etc.) and prepare travel schedules in advance.

Correspond with customers concerning technical matters.

Prepare special reportson customer remarks, sales prospects, competition information, etc.

Keep informed regarding all operating characteristics, design factors and technical performance of Varex Imaging Security & Inspection Products.

Maintain and permanently up-date personal set of technical documentation.

Perform other dutiesas assigned.

Education / Experience:

Graduate of technical institute or university in electronics or equivalent Military training in basic electronics. Graduate in electrical engineering, mechatronics or related fields and/or equivalent technical work related experience. Must be professional and tactful; willingto travel extensively and willing to work at short notice and outside standard hours as required to support the customers/products. Fluency in English and the local language required.

Information Technology:

Microsoft Communication tools:emails, schedules, live meetings Salesforce: service reporting

Customers:
Excellent Communication skills to meet Customers expectations

Business Procedures:
Basic understanding of logistical processes. SAP is an advantage

Technical expertise:
Must be proficient to operate an Oscilloscope, DVM and read schematics. PLC Logic programming also an advantage.

Health and Safety:
To be familiar with Risk Assessment procedures.

Radiation Protection Supervisor (RPS) certification would be an advantage.

Skills:

Basic all roundknowledge of electronic, electrical & mechanical components and applications

Expertise to react and troubleshoot efficiently and logically under pressure & at short notice.

Ability to interface, communicate and train the customer in the operation of the Security and Inspection Products

Ability to work and communicate within a multi cultural and worldwide team

Willing to acceptkey roles and responsibilities withinthe Territory Service Team as requested.
