The Planning Engineer will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting for substation and transmission line construction projects.
Role OverviewThe Planning Engineer will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting for substation and transmission line construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 / MS Project.
Prepare baseline schedules, work programs, and resource-loaded schedules.
Monitor project progress against approved schedules and identify delays or potential risks.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
Coordinate with construction, engineering, procurement, QA/QC, and project management teams.
Track manpower, material, equipment, and productivity against project requirements.
Analyze project delays and prepare recovery / catch-up schedules when required.
Prepare progress measurement and S-curves.
Support preparation of look-ahead schedules and project forecasts.
Assist in Extension of Time (EOT) and delay analysis documentation.
Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure planned activities are achieved on time.
Attend project progress meetings and provide accurate planning updates to management and the client.
