We are looking for an experienced anddriven Debt Collection Specialist to manage and recover delinquentaccounts while maintaining strong client relationships. The ideal candidate hasdeep knowledge of Oman’s regulatory framework, outstanding negotiation skills,and a proven history of working within financial institutions such as banks orinsurance companies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage aportfolio of overdue accounts with a strategic and assertive approach to maximize recovery.
• Initiatecontact with customers via telephone, email, andfield visits to discuss payment plans and resolve outstanding balances.
• Evaluatedebtor’s financial situation , propose viablerepayment solutions, and secure commitments.
• Negotiatesettlements and payment arrangements in line with company policies and risk parameters.
• Monitoragreed payment plans , follow up on defaults, andtake further actions as necessary.
• Coordinate with legal teams on accounts that require escalatedrecovery processes or litigation.
• Updaterecords accurately in the debt management systemand prepare regular performance reports.
• Maintain compliance with Omani debt collection laws , the Central Bank of Oman guidelines, and internalprocedures

Skills:

• 2 - 5 yearsof experience in debt collection or credit control.
• Proven track record in financial services, banking, or insurance industries .
• Deep understanding of local regulations regarding financial recovery and customer rights.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability tohandle difficult conversations professionally and tactfully.
• Strong documentation and reporting abilities.
• Familiarity withdebt management platforms and CRM tools .
• Fluent in Arabic and English (written and spoken).

Education:

• Diploma in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
• Additional certification in Credit Management, Risk Control, or Financial Recovery is aplus.
• High emotional intelligence and patience under pressure.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
