Strategic Financial Leadership
Develop and execute the corporate financial strategy aligned with the organization's transformation and growth objectives.
Advise the CEO and Board on capital structure, profitability, investment decisions and long-term value creation.
Provide strategic financial insights to support sustainable business growth.
Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts and long-range financial planning.
Deliver timely and accurate management reporting with actionable business insights.
Monitor and improve key financial performance indicators, including EBITDA, cash flow, ROCE and working capital.
Manage liquidity, banking relationships and financing facilities.
Lead debt restructuring, capital raising and shareholder funding initiatives.
Optimize cash management and foreign exchange exposure.
Ensure adequate funding availability to support business operations and growth.
Develop and maintain standard costing for seafood processing operations.
Drive cost reduction, margin improvement and operational efficiency.
Monitor production yields, inventory valuation, manufacturing costs and plant performance.
Partner with Operations and Supply Chain to identify opportunities for financial and operational improvement.
Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax laws, statutory requirements and corporate governance standards.
Strengthen internal controls and enterprise risk management frameworks.
Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
Ensure accurate and timely statutory financial reporting.
Partner with Commercial, Operations, Supply Chain and Procurement functions on pricing, investments and profitability.
Evaluate new projects, export markets and capital expenditure opportunities.
Provide financial analysis and modelling to support strategic and commercial decisions.
Build, lead and develop a high-performing finance team.
Establish a strong succession pipeline and promote employee development.
Drive continuous improvement, automation and digital transformation across the finance function.
Lead the effective use and enhancement of ERP finance systems.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline.
Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, ACA or CMA is required.
MBA or Master's degree is preferred.
15+ years of progressive finance experience, including at least 7 years in senior finance leadership roles.
Strong experience in strategic finance, corporate finance and financial management.
Proven experience in treasury management, funding, cash management and banking relationships.
Strong background in cost accounting, financial modelling, budgeting and forecasting.
Experience supporting manufacturing, production or capital-intensive operations.
Experience in seafood, food processing, FMCG or a similar industry is highly desirable.
Proven exposure to international or export-oriented businesses.
Experience working with ERP systems and leading finance digital transformation initiatives.
Strong experience in Board-level reporting and presenting financial insights to senior leadership and shareholders.
