Job Purpose:
To drive the growth of Bank Nizwa's Wealth Management business and support the Bank's strategic objective of increasing Non-Funded Income (NFI) by developing, managing and deepening relationships with affluent and high-net-worth customers.
The Wealth Advisor is responsible for identifying customer financial and investment needs and providing suitable Shariah-compliant wealth solutions from the Bank's approved product portfolio. The role will focus on increasing investment penetration, fee-based income, customer wallet share, assets under management/advisory, customer acquisition and retention.
The role will work closely with Retail Banking, Branches, Relationship Managers and relevant internal and external stakeholders to build a sustainable pipeline of wealth opportunities while ensuring full compliance with the Bank's policies, Shariah principles and applicable regulatory requirements.
Main Tasks & Accountabilities: NFI & Wealth Revenue Growth- Deliver assigned Wealth Management revenue and NFI targets in line with the Bank’s approved business strategy.
- Identify and develop sustainable sources of fee-based and non-funded income from the Retail Banking customer base.
- Develop a strong pipeline of investment and wealth opportunities and actively manage opportunities through to successful closure.
- Monitor individual performance against NFI, investment, customer acquisition and other assigned business targets.
- Conduct comprehensive discussions with customers to understand their financial objectives, investment requirements, liquidity needs and risk appetite.
- Recommend suitable Shariah-compliant wealth and investment solutions from the Bank’s approved product range.
- Ensure that recommendations are appropriate to the customer profile and supported by proper documentation and suitability assessment, where applicable.
- Maintain regular engagement with customers to review their financial needs and identify new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain long‑term relationships with affluent and high-net‑worth customers.
- Act as a trusted point of contact for customers in relation to the Bank’s wealth and investment propositions.
- Increase customer wallet share by identifying opportunities across investment, deposits, financing and other relevant Retail Banking propositions.
- Proactively manage customer retention and identify customers at risk of reducing or transferring their investments or banking relationship.
- Identify and acquire new affluent and high‑net‑worth customers through internal referrals, networking, existing customer referrals and approved business development activities.
- Develop relationships with prospective customers and convert qualified prospects into active Bank Nizwa relationships.
- Support the development of customer acquisition initiatives targeting identified wealth segments.
- Promote the Bank’s approved Shariah‑compliant investment, wealth and fee‑generating products to eligible customers.
- Increase product penetration across the existing Retail Banking customer portfolio.
- Identify opportunities to migrate suitable customers into relevant wealth/affluent propositions.
- Support the introduction and commercialization of new wealth products and propositions.
- Work closely with Branch Managers, Relationship Managers and other frontline teams to identify customers with wealth potential.
- Establish an effective referral mechanism and actively follow up on leads generated by the Retail Banking network.
- Conduct regular engagement and awareness sessions for frontline staff regarding wealth products, customer profiling and referral opportunities.
- Support branches and Relationship Managers during key customer meetings where wealth expertise is required.
- Maintain an active portfolio/pipeline of wealth customers and prospects.
