Job Title: Creative Web Developer & Experience Designer
Department: Corporate Communications
Main Role (Overall Accountability) Responsibilities:- Write, test, and debug code for SharePoint pages and related web applications.
- Implement new features and functionalities based on user requirements and feedback.
- Create and customize SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, and workflows.
- Ensure proper configuration and management of SharePoint permissions and security settings.
- Meet with project managers, UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and provide updates.
- Monitor website & SharePoint performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Perform regular updates and maintenance on existing SharePoint & website pages and applications.
- Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of code, processes, and changes made to SharePoint and web applications.
- Update user manuals and guides as necessary for end-users.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users regarding SharePoint functionality.
- Conduct training sessions or create training materials for new features.
- Perform code reviews and testing to ensure high-quality standards are met.
- Implement best practices for coding and development to improve performance and security.
- Stay updated with the latest SharePoint and web development trends and technologies.
- Experiment with new tools or frameworks that could enhance the development process or user experience.
- Use version control systems to manage code changes and collaborate with other developers.
- Analyze site usage and performance metrics to inform future enhancements and modifications.
- Provide regular updates on project status and key performance indicators to management.
- Participate in agile development meetings, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Work with marketing and content teams to ensure that website content is optimized and up-to-date.
- Implement and test backup and recovery procedures for SharePoint sites and content.
- Prototype Development through Creating interactive prototypes to test and validate design concepts.
- Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to refine the user experience.
- Continuously improve the user interface based on user feedback and testing results.
Skills:
- Omani national.
- 4-5 years proven work experience in web application concepts and SharePoint.
- Solid knowledge of web design and development, mainly to design, develop, and maintain key components of the software suite using classic ASP, Microsoft .Net, and SharePoint Server.
- Experience as a SharePoint Developer in the analysis, design, hands‑on development, and delivery of web-based applications.
- Familiarity with CRM tools is an advantage.
- A solid understanding of how web applications work, including security, session management, and best development practices.
- Proficient in marketing research and statistical analysis.
- Excellent writing communication skills (both English and Arabic).
- Team player, dynamic, service‑oriented, creative, and out‑of‑the‑box thinker, with the ability to guide a team of professionals using a delegation rather than a micro‑management approach.
- Persuasion, negotiation, project management, numerical, and pristine speaking skills are a requisite for this position.
