We are hiring a Senior Data Scientist, on site in Muscat, to turn the platform's data into models and insight that improve services for millions.

What you'll do:
Frame the problems, build the models, and prove what actually works, from raw data to production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Frame government and business problems as data science problems, and choose the right method for each
• Build, validate, and deploy predictive and statistical models: classification, regression, forecasting, clustering, and anomaly detection
• Design and run experiments and causal analysis, so decisions rest on evidence, not opinion
• Do deep exploratory analysis and feature engineering across a polyglot, multitenant data estate
• Apply geospatial, graph, and time series analytics to find patterns across citizens, entities, and events
• Partner with ML engineering to take models from notebook to production, with monitoring and retraining
• Combine classical machine learning with generative AI where it genuinely adds value
• Build in responsible AI, fairness, and explainability, and turn findings into clear recommendations for leadership

What makes you a fit:

• You have built models that made it into production and changed a real decision or service, not just notebooks
• You are strong in statistics and machine learning, and you know which method fits which problem
• You are fluent in Python or R and SQL, and the modern data science and ML stack
• You design experiments and reason about causality, not just correlation
• You communicate findings clearly, and you are honest about uncertainty and limitations
• Geospatial, graph, time series, or anomaly detection depth is highly valued for our domain
• You hold a Bachelor's or higher in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field; an advanced degree is a plus
• You care about responsible AI: fairness, bias, and explainability
• Fluent English required;
  Arabic is a valuable advantage
