Cyber Security Engineer

Company Description Oman Fiber Optic (OFO), established in 1996 and leverages state‑of‑the‑art technology to draw fiber and manufacture high-quality fiber cable products. The company serves regional and international markets, supporting critical telecommunications and infrastructure projects.

Role Description

• Monitor, analyze, and respond to security events and incidents in the Security Operations Center (SOC).
• Conduct threat hunting, log analysis, and incident response.
• Support vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
• Collaborate with IT teams to maintain secure network and system configurations.
• Assist in developing and enforcing security policies, with reference to ISO/IEC 27001:2022

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
  .
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Cyber security.
• Strong experience in SOC operations
  , network monitoring, and incident response.
• Knowledge of firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, SIEM tools, and endpoint security
  .
• Basic understanding of ISO/IEC 27001:2022 standards.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

Preferred

Certifications:

• Cisco (CCNA/CCNP or equivalent)
• Fortinet (NSE certifications)
• SOC-related certifications such as CompTIA CySA+,
