Company Description
The Integrated Gas Company (IGC), established in December 2022, manages all allocations, assets, rights, and obligations related to the purchase, sale, import of natural gas and related products on behalf of the government of the Sultanate of Oman. The company is responsible for raising the efficiency of gas sector management and ensuring that contract terms with producers and consumers are effectively implemented.
IGC develops gas allocation strategies and executes government policies on gas pricing and sectoral allocations. Through these activities, the company aims to grow economic activity and maximize in-country value in the gas sector and related industries.
The Digital & Technology Manager oversees digital strategy execution, enterprise technology modernization, solution delivery, integration, IT governance, and operational technology enablement while working closely with business functions, IT Operations, Architecture, Data teams, and executive leadership to ensure technology initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and to the required quality standards.
The role acts as the driving force behind the organization’s digital transformation journey by converting strategic initiatives into operational capabilities, modernizing legacy systems and processes, enabling automation and innovation, and ensuring seamless integration between enterprise platforms, operational technologies, cloud services, and corporate systems.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute the organization's Digital & Technology Strategy in alignment with corporate objectives, Oman Vision 2040, national energy priorities, and Net Zero 2050 commitments.
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Digital & Technology function, ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient delivery of all IT and digital services.
- Oversee enterprise infrastructure, networks, cloud platforms, enterprise applications, ERP systems, collaboration tools, end-user computing, and service delivery to maintain high availability and business continuity.
- Lead enterprise-wide digital transformation, automation, process digitization, and technology modernization initiatives that deliver measurable business value.
- Manage the organization's digital portfolio from business case through implementation, benefits realization, and operational support.
- Drive continual improvement and Lean initiatives to simplify processes, eliminate waste, improve digital adoption, and maximize the return on technology investments.
- Establish and maintain enterprise architecture, systems integration, data governance, and technology standards to ensure scalable, secure, and sustainable digital capabilities.
- Lead the development of enterprise data, advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, and digital solutions that enhance operational performance and executive decision-making.
- Provide executive oversight of cybersecurity, Operational Technology (OT), Industrial Control Systems (ICS), SCADA environments, disaster recovery, business continuity, and technology resilience.
- Ensure technology operations comply with corporate governance requirements, cybersecurity standards, regulatory obligations, and industry best practices.
- Manage relationships with technology vendors, implementation partners, consultants, and managed service providers, ensuring effective contract, commercial, and performance management.
- Develop and manage Digital & Technology operating and capital budgets, ensuring technology investments are aligned with strategic priorities and deliver value for money.
- Advise the CEO and Executive Leadership Team on technology strategy, emerging technologies, digital risks, investment priorities, and opportunities to improve organizational performance.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Digital & Technology team while actively contributing to operational delivery in a lean organizational environment, where the role combines strategic leadership with hands‑on management of critical technology services.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, accountability, continuous learning, and customer-focused service across the organization.
Experience:
- Minimum 12 years of experience in digital transformation, technology management, enterprise systems delivery, or IT leadership roles.
- Proven experience delivering enterprise applications, cloud solutions, automation platforms, infrastructure modernization, or digital transformation programs.
- Experience with in Oil & Gas, Energy, Industrial, or large-scale enterprise environments is preferred.
- Experience leading cross-functional delivery teams, vendors, and strategic technology programs.
- Strong exposure to enterprise technology governance, cybersecurity, and operational technologies experience is considered an advantage.
