As member of the IT team of Port of Duqm the objective of the mission will be to take the responsibilities of analysing complex data sets to help our organization make informed business decisions. This role requires a deep understanding of data analytics, business processes, and the ability to communicate insights effectively to stakeholders. The Business Reporting Analyst will work closely with various departments to identify their data needs, develop reporting solutions, and provide actionable insights.

Key responsibilities include gathering and analysing data, creating dashboards and reports. The role also involves identifying trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to support strategic planning and operational improvements. The Business Reporting Analyst will use various tools and technologies, such as SQL, Excel, and BI software, to extract, manipulate, and visualize data. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to stay current with industry trends and best practices in data analytics and business intelligence.

Keep a good understanding of the data structure and mapping of the different applications to be able to ensure its quality remains high. Create and manage data visualizations to present complex information clearly. Optimize existing reports for better performance and usability. Conduct regular audits to ensure data quality. Work closely with the IT Manager on key reports within applicative landscape and Document reporting processes and methodologies.

2-Duties

and Responsibilities Strategic:

Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all reports.

Assist in the development of data management policies and procedures.

Participate in research on emerging digitization products and services in support of Digitization.

Operational:

System study – Requirement gathering, interact with business users to understand their needs.

Analyzes and design program logic, screen layouts, dashboards, reports, acceptance and testing criteria to support development of new or enhance systems.

Performs all aspects of reports design including writing required quires using SQL, analyzing the report output against native data, monitor and revisit the reports occasionally for any type of enhancements or corrections.

Create and manage data visualizations to present complex information clearly.

Optimize existing reports for better performance and usability.

Conduct regular audits to ensure data quality.

Work closely with the IT Manager on key reports within applicative landscape.

Perform testing and evaluation of new processes/reports and implementation of new applications.

Conducts or coordinates User Acceptance Test makes changes and corrections as needed for apps or reports. Ensure sign off by the End Users on the validation of the UAT for production release.

Performs ongoing maintenance and review of applications systems and reports; troubleshooting identifies problems and develops appropriate solutions.

Provide assistance, advice, and training to business users in the effective use of applications and information technology.

Centralize the Gaps of the different core application of PDC. Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.

Create and maintain comprehensive reports development documentation.

Manage and enforce user access controls to prevent unauthorized access to critical systems and reports.

Regularly review and update system access rights based on job roles and responsibilities.

Help implement best practices in the Change Management Process.

Follow-up all AMC related to IT Software.

Maintain comprehensive documentation of software and user guides.

Complete all other related tasks as assigned from time to time by the reporting manager or management.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS Education:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Information Systems, AI and Data Science or a related field or as approved in the Minimum Qualifications and Experiences matrix.

Experience:

0-2 years of relevant experience. Knowledge in IT, with a strong focus on managing and supporting ERP system and IT Business Applications, preferably within the port or logistics industry…
