Role Overview
Join our dynamic team as an SAP Business One Technical Consultant, where you'll play a key role in implementing and supporting SAP B1 solutions. As part of our team in Muscat, you'll work in an ONSITE environment, collaborating closely with business and IT stakeholders to deliver robust, efficient and scalable solutions that drive business performance.
Responsibilities- Provide hands-on technical support for SAP Business One, including development, configuration, integration, and administration
- Design, develop and maintain SAP B1 add-ons, integrations, and customisations using SAP B1 SDK (DI API, UI API, Service Layer)
- Optimise system performance through advanced SQL queries and efficient database design
- Implement, troubleshoot, and support SAP B1 on HANA and/or MS SQL environments
- Manage user authorisations, approval procedures, workflows, alerts, UDFs, UDTs, UDOs, and formatted searches
- Support business processes with REST APIs, web services, and third-party integrations
- Carry out database migrations, master and transactional data management, and ensure data integrity
- Assist in UAT, deployment, change management, and provide post-go-live support
- Analyse issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and resolve production incidents efficiently
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions and documentation
- 4+ years hands-on experience with SAP Business One technical solutions
- Extensive experience working with SAP B1 on HANA and/or MS SQL
- Strong SQL skills: complex queries, stored procedures, troubleshooting, and optimisation
- Hands-on expertise with SAP B1 SDK, specifically DI API, UI API, and Service Layer
- Proven experience in SAP B1 administration, configuration and system maintenance
- Hands-on knowledge of authorisations, approvals, workflows, alerts, UDFs, UDTs, UDOs, and formatted searches
- Development and maintenance of SAP B1 add-ons and custom integrations
- Experience with REST APIs, web services, and integration to third-party systems
- Excellent troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and production support capabilities
- Strong experience with master data, transactional data, and data migration in SAP B1
- Direct involvement in UAT, deployment, change management and post-go-live support activities
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field
- Experience with B1iF (Business One Integration Framework)
- Crystal Reports development and support experience
- Data analytics and dashboarding using Power BI, including data modelling
- Industry experience in FMCG, food, retail, trading, warehouse, or distribution sectors
- Knowledge of middleware or integration platforms
- Advanced database performance tuning and optimisation skills
- Ability to convert business requirements into technical/functional specifications
- Expertise in SAP B1 security and fine-grained database access controls
