Role Purpose

Lead delivery of Omantel's Tech Co+ ambition through the identification, evaluation, incubation, and validation of emerging technology services, and through partnerships across the Fin Tech, Insur Tech, Travel Tech, and Med Tech ecosystems. • Minimum role requirements:
• Bachelor in relevant discipline
• Professional certification in the field is preferable
• 8 years of relevant experience with at least 3 years in a management position

• Define and activate Omantel's emerging technology and partner ecosystem strategy across Insur Tech, Super Apps, Fin Tech, Super Apps, Travel Tech, Med Tech, and adjacent verticals, ensuring each opportunity is embedded into Omantel's digital ecosystem.
• Advise executive leadership on emerging technology trends, translating technical developments into commercial implications and clear strategic recommendations.
• Build and manage a structured technology partner pipeline across startups, scale-ups, and established vendors, while maintaining a live market and competitor radar.
• Define minimum viable offerings, pilot success criteria, go to market assumptions, and scale readiness requirements for each emerging technology opportunity.
• Own the business case end to end, including revenue and cost modelling, investment requirements, payback and return thresholds, and the recommendation to build, buy, partner, or invest.
• Design and negotiate the commercial construct, including revenue sharing, white-label, referral, joint venture, equity, or venture models, working with Legal, Regulatory, Finance, and Procurement through to signed agreement.
• Manage partner contracts across their lifecycle, including commercial terms, SLAs, renewals, renegotiation, and contractual performance management.
• Own and manage the innovation portfolio and budget, tracking pipeline health, funding allocation, performance, and returns while reallocating investment away from underperforming initiatives.
• Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a customer-centric, data-led, performance-driven, and innovation-focused culture, while supporting Omanisation and national talent development through hiring, capability building, and succession planning.

• Align teams around the emerging technology and ecosystem strategies and priorities.

• Provide shareholder-level oversight of subsidiaries and the venture portfolio, holding entities to agreed performance without displacing their management accountability.

• Build business cases and financial models, and structure and negotiate partnership commercials through to signed agreement.
• Manage portfolio and subsidiary performance through defined metrics, structured reporting, and corrective action.
• Monetise telecom assets customer base, distribution, carrier billing, identity, network APIs, IoT, data within partner propositions.
• Govern feasibility, pilots, and stage-gated evaluation through to handover for deployment.
