A banking client in Muscat, Oman is urgently hiring an experienced Power BI Developer specializing in data engineering, reporting and dashboard development. The role requires strong hands-on experience in Power BI, data modeling, SQL-based ETL and reporting solutions within the banking domain.
The successful candidate will work with transactional and financial data to develop, optimize and maintain business intelligence solutions. Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Build data models using Star Schema and Snowflake Schema approaches.
- Develop DAX measures and calculations.
- Use Power Query for data transformation and preparation.
- Develop SQL-based ETL processes.
- Work with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services).
- Develop and manage reports using Power BI Report Server in an on-premise environment.
- Implement and manage Row-Level Security (RLS).
- Support data governance and secure reporting practices.
- Optimize Power BI report and dashboard performance.
- Work with transactional and financial banking data.
- Collaborate with banking and technical teams to deliver reporting and analytics solutions.
- Minimum 5+ years of professional experience as a Power BI Developer.
- 5+ years of hands-on Power BI dashboard development experience.
- Strong experience with DAX and Power Query.
- Strong SQL and SQL-based ETL development skills.
- Experience with Star Schema and Snowflake Schema data modeling.
- Hands-on experience with Power BI Report Server (On-Premise).
- Strong knowledge of Row-Level Security (RLS) and data governance.
- Experience in Power BI report performance optimization.
- Experience with SSIS.
- Banking domain experience is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of transactional and financial data.
- Notice period must be between 0 and 30 days.
