The Core Banking Specialist is a technical professional with expertise in implementing the Equation core banking solution. This role focuseson supporting new requirements through internal API development, analyzing and resolving technical issues, and managing interactions with users, vendors, and internal technical teams. Experience with additional Mysis products, such asTI, is advantageous.
- Technical Leadership and Application Governance:
- Lead the technical management, support, and development of core banking applications, ensuring system stability, service continuity, and adherence to application governance standards.
- Oversee the delivery and implementation of system enhancements and releases, ensuring technical readiness and effective communication with relevant teams and departments.
- Lead the resolution ofcomplex technical incidents, ensuring thorough root cause analysis, appropriate vendor escalation, and implementation of corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Oversee interface testing and certification for system integrations, ensuring compliance with technical standards and readiness for production deployment.
- Business Stakeholder and Vendor Management:
- Lead engagement with business stakeholders to assess system issues, define requirements, and prioritize changes in line with business needs and operational impact.
- Manage vendor delivery and technical performance, ensuring system packages and fixes meet agreed requirements, quality standards, and delivery timelines.
- Drive the resolution of outstanding vendor issues and elevate delivery risks to relevant management stakeholders.
- System Optimization and Continuous Improvement:
- Drive the assessment andenhancement of core banking functionality to support evolving operational requirements and business priorities.
- Define and prioritize improvements that strengthen system performance, reliability, operational efficiency, and user experience.
- Evaluate proposed technical solutions and recommend approaches that balance business value, implementationfeasibility, and system risk.
- Project Leadership and Delivery:
- Lead the core bankingtechnical workstream within IT projects, ensuring solutions align with business objectives, architectural standards, and operational requirements.
- Oversee technical planning,dependencies, risks, testing, and implementation readiness to support successful project delivery.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and vendors to resolve technical challenges and ensure a controlledtransition into production and ongoing support.
- Process Innovation, Automation & Digitalization:
- Drive continuous process improvement through innovative, automated, and digital solutions once required
- Business Control &Governance
- Ensure adherence to thebank's policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards in all operational activities.
- Self/People Development & Continuous Learning:
- Continually update oneselfthrough knowledge acquisition, on-the-job training, or project involvement;advocate and support others to do the same.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the banking sector or IT companies supporting financial institutions
