Position Overview
The consultant will act as an Oracle Techno-Functional Specialist, responsible for providing Oracle EBS functional expertise to assess, configure, map, and optimize Oracle EBS Finance modules and their integrations.
2. Core Functional ScopeThe consultant is expected to:
- Map current business processes and develop future-state (To-Be) processes for Finance subdomains.
- Translate business processes into functional requirements for Oracle EBS.
- Review existing Oracle EBS configurations, customizations, modules, and APIs.
- Identify gaps between business requirements and Oracle EBS capabilities.
- Design and configure Oracle EBS modules and workflows.
- Define integration requirements and coordinate with the integration team.
- Support testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and end-user training.
Job Responsibilities Business Process Mapping & Analysis
- Lead process mapping workshops and interviews.
- Produce To-Be business processes for end-to-end Finance subdomains.
- Cover GL, AP, AR, cash management, bank reconciliation, RTGS payments, SWIFT, procure-to-pay, intercompany, and related processes.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Develop To-Be business maps and workflows.
- Address segregation of duties (SoD) requirements.
- Translate business processes into Oracle EBS functional requirements.
- Review current Oracle EBS configurations, customizations, modules, and APIs.
- Map functional requirements to Oracle EBS capabilities.
- Identify system and functional gaps.
- Propose appropriate sequences and priorities for functional requirements.
- Support improved system development planning.
- Define integration requirements and liaise with the integration team.
- Design and configure Oracle modules and workflows.
- Implement solutions according to agreed priorities.
- Use minimal customization.
- Create test scripts.
- Define acceptance criteria.
- Assist in troubleshooting functional issues.
- Implement fixes for identified functional issues.
- Create required IT documentation.
- Develop training materials, including user guides and runbooks.
- Deliver role-based training to end users.
Skills and Qualifications
Educational
Qualifications:
Degree in Finance, Accounting, IT, Computer Science, or a related field Oracle EBS certification
- Oracle EBS experience 1015 years of hands-on experience in Oracle EBS Finance functions
- Full lifecycle projects
- Proven experience in at least 2 full lifecycle Oracle EBS projects
- Finance modules: GL, Payments, AP, AR, Treasury & Cash Management, Subledger
- Procurement & related modules
- Accounting & finance:
Strong knowledge of accounting, payments, reconciliation, and finance processes - Integration:
Strong knowledge of finance process integrations - Regulatory / banking:
Strong understanding of IFRS and central banking requirements - Training:
Experience delivering Oracle training to end users
Educational
Qualifications:
