We're Hiring: IT Engineer – Patch Management | Oman
We're looking for an experienced IT Engineer – Patch Management to support a project with a multinational consulting firm in Oman.
Role details:- Location: Oman
- Work setup: Onsite
- Engagement: Project-based / independent contractor
- Initial duration: 12 months, rolling contract
- Start date: ASAP
- Manage patch deployment across servers, endpoints, and enterprise IT environments.
- Assess, test, and schedule patches in coordination with infrastructure and security teams.
- Monitor patch compliance, troubleshoot failed deployments, and address outstanding vulnerabilities.
- Maintain patching records, deployment reports, and exception tracking.
- Support maintenance windows and post-deployment validation to minimise operational disruption.
- 5+ years of relevant IT experience
, with hands‑on experience in patch management. - Experience with tools such as Microsoft SCCM / Intune, WSUS, and Ivanti
. - Strong understanding of patch testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and compliance reporting.
- Good communication skills and the ability to coordinate with technical and business stakeholders.
- Willingness to work onsite in Oman under a project-based / independent contractor arrangement.
Relocation: The project will sponsor the visa. Successful candidates must cover their own flight and accommodation costs.
