A fast-upcoming construction and infrastructure contracting company in the Sultanate of Oman is seeking a qualified and experienced Construction Store Keeper to join its project team/ Central Stores. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the complete stores and inventory control process, ensuring timely availability of materials, maintaining accurate records, and supporting project procurement and construction activities.

Job PurposeThe Store Keeper shall be responsible for the receipt, storage, preservation, issuance, and inventory control of construction materials, tools, equipment, consumables, and assets. The role involves processing Material Requisition s (MRs) from site teams, issuing available stock, preparing Purchase Requisition s (PRs) for unavailable materials, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring compliance with company procedures and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities MaterialRequisition & Issue Management
- Receive Material Requisition s (MRs) from Site Engineers, Supervisors, and Construction Teams.
- Verify stock availability against requested quantities.
- Issue available materials against approved requisitions.
- Maintain Material Issue Vouchers and issuance records.
- Ensure proper material traceability and stock control.
Requisition Management
- Identify stock shortages and unavailable materials.
- Prepare and submit Purchase Requisition s (PRs) with complete specifications and quantities.
- Coordinate with Procurement Department regarding material requirements and delivery status.
- Monitor minimum and reorder stock levels.
- Receive materials delivered to site stores.
- Verify quantities against Purchase Orders and Delivery Notes.
- Coordinate with QA/QC for inspection and approval of materials where required.
- Ensure proper storage, preservation, identification, and segregation of materials.
- Maintain accurate stock records and inventory registers.
- Conduct periodic stock verification and reconciliation.
- Monitor material consumption and report variances.
- Generate stock reports and inventory status reports.
- Maintain records of company assets, tools, and equipment.
- Control issuance and return of tools and equipment.
- Monitor asset movements and maintain asset registers.

- Ensure only approved materials are issued for construction works.
- Maintain material certificates, inspection records, and approvals.
- Comply with company Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements.
- Maintain good housekeeping and safe storage practices.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in construction stores and inventory management.
- Experience in building, infrastructure, industrial, or EPC construction projects.
- Knowledge of construction materials and procurement procedures.
