Responsibilities
Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications and installation procedures with precision. Assemble and fit steel structures ensuring accuracy and structural integrity using advanced welding techniques. Conduct thorough inspections of fabricated components to identify defects ensuring compliance with industry standards. Collaborate with engineers and project managers to provide technical insights that enhance project execution and efficiency.
Qualifications- A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
- Vocational training in welding or fabrication is highly preferred
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience in steel fitting or a closely related field
- Possession of industry-recognized certifications, such as AWS or ASME, demonstrating welding proficiency and safety standards
- Strong understanding of structural steel design and related materials, with the ability to interpret complex engineering drawings
