This is a full-time, on-site role for a VTL & Horizontal Boring Machine Operator based in Muscat. The operator will set up, operate, and monitor Vertical Turning Lathes (VTL) and Horizontal Boring Machines to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications. Daily responsibilities include interpreting technical drawings, selecting appropriate tools, performing machine adjustments, and monitoring operations to ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish.

The role involves conducting routine inspections, performing basic preventive maintenance, and reporting any mechanical or quality issues to the supervisor. The operator will collaborate with the quality control and engineering teams to meet production targets, follow safety procedures, and maintain a clean and organized work area.

• Demonstrated proficiency in machine operation, specifically VTL and horizontal boring machines, with strong understanding of industrial machinery.
• Experience in quality control, including dimensional inspection, use of measuring instruments, and adherence to machining tolerances and standards.
• Ability to safely and effectively use hand tools and related workshop equipment for setup, adjustment, and basic maintenance tasks.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and team members, and to accurately document work performed.
• Relevant technical diploma or certification in machining, mechanical engineering, or a related trade; prior experience in heavy fabrication or industrial machining is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of safety procedures, workshop best practices, and basic troubleshooting of mechanical issues.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, work independently with minimal supervision, and meet production deadlines.
