The Sr. Marketing Manager – Exhibitions is responsible for planning, developing, and executing integrated marketing strategies to drive attendance, exhibitor acquisition, and brand visibility for exhibitions and trade shows. The role requires a strong understanding of B2B event marketing, audience segmentation, digital campaigns, and stakeholder management to deliver measurable results and maximize event revenue.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Marketing- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans aligned with event objectives.
- Define target audiences including visitors, exhibitors, and partners.
- Position the exhibition effectively within the market to achieve attendance and revenue targets.
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and audience insights to refine strategies.
- Plan and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns (digital, email, social media, PR, content marketing, and paid advertising).
- Oversee campaign timelines, budgets, and performance tracking.
- Collaborate with sales teams to support exhibitor acquisition campaigns.
- Manage website content, SEO, and landing pages to optimize lead generation.
- Oversee CRM/email marketing campaigns and automation workflows.
- Work with paid media agencies to run PPC, social ads, and retargeting campaigns.
- Monitor analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to track performance and optimize ROI.
- Develop compelling marketing content including brochures, emails, social posts, press releases, and promotional materials.
- Ensure brand consistency across all communication channels.
- Coordinate with designers, copywriters, and agencies for campaign assets.
- Build relationships with media partners, associations, and industry stakeholders.
- Manage PR campaigns, press releases, and media outreach to increase visibility.
- Secure promotional partnerships and cross-marketing opportunities.
- Drive visitor registration and exhibitor participation through targeted campaigns.
- Manage promotional calendars and campaign rollouts pre-, during, and post-event.
- Support on-site marketing activities and event execution when required.
- Manage marketing budgets efficiently and ensure cost-effective campaign execution.
- Track KPIs such as registrations, leads, conversion rates, and ROI.
- Provide regular reports and insights to senior management.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related discipline.
- Significant experience in senior marketing roles within the exhibitions, conferences, events, or B2B marketing industry.
- Strong understanding of the commercial landscape of the exhibitions industry or the global oil & gas, energy, and renewable sectors.
- Proven experience delivering integrated marketing campaigns that drive visitor acquisition, exhibitor engagement, delegate registrations, and commercial growth.
- Demonstrated ability to manage high-level institutional stakeholders, government entities, ministries, and strategic partners with professionalism, diplomacy, and exceptional communication skills.
- Strong analytical capability with experience tracking, interpreting, and presenting marketing performance metrics, converting campaign data into actionable strategic insights for senior leadership.
- Proven experience managing and developing direct reports, including coaching and mentoring marketing team members to deliver high-performing campaigns.
- Advanced expertise in planning, executing, and optimizing complex, data-driven marketing and audience acquisition strategies across multiple channels.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and managing relationships with internal creative teams, external agencies, digital partners, media partners, and government stakeholders.
- Strong project management, budgeting, organizational, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage multiple high-profile campaigns simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English;
Arabic language skills are an advantage.
