The HSE Advisor is responsible for ensuring that all health, safety, and environmental practices are implemented and maintained in compliance with company policies and local regulations. The role involves monitoring site activities, minimizing risks, and promoting a strong safety culture across operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor and enforce health, safety, and environmental policies on-site
- Conduct regular inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Identify hazards and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Ensure compliance with local HSE regulations and international standards
- Develop and deliver safety training and awareness programs
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports
- Maintain HSE documentation, records, and reports accurately
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure safe work practices
- Monitor use of PPE and ensure adherence to safety procedures
- Support emergency response planning and drills
Experience:
- Diploma / Degree in Engineering or relevant field
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in HSE role (preferably in construction, oil & gas, or industrial sectors)
- Knowledge of local Oman safety regulations is preferred
- Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA are highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards
- Excellent observation and hazard identification skills
- Good communication and training abilities
- Strong reporting and documentation skills
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work independently and in team environments
