Provide company and subcontractor personnel with technical support to meet company, customer and regulatory health, safety and environmental requirements. The role involves travel to operating locations, frequent overnight stays and typically follows a 7/7 schedule.
Promote a proactive safety culture and support HSE/QMS programmes, policies and training. Assist site leadership with inspections, audits and behavioural safety requirements, including lockout/tagout, fall protection, safety equipment, job safety analyses, permits and follow-up of corrective actions. Observe and coach employees performing critical tasks and stop work when clarification or correction is needed.
Applicants need at least one year of experience in a similar position or industry, a high-school diploma or equivalent, strong English communication skills and the ability to travel. Previous safety or environmental experience in oil and gas and a college, associate or technical qualification in safety or environmental studies are preferred.
