Responsibilities
- Responsible for monitoring the quality of incoming and outgoing materials, products, and services for the assigned project.
- Conduct tests, analyze measurements, and report findings.
- Ensure that the material/product/service meets expected standards before delivery to the customer, reducing the chances of failure and non-conformities.
- Execute all day-to-day activities and Quality Control plans in line with organizational and project-specific QMS, CQP, PQP, international standards, ISO, client, and statutory requirements.
- Perform functional quality assessments and inspections on input samples (materials, products, services) and accept/reject based on internal/external criteria and defined procedures.
- Assess and inspect output samples (materials, products, services) and accept/reject based on internal/external criteria and defined procedures.
- Initiate corrective actions on non-conformities and monitor/tracking them to completion.
- Define functional inspection and test processes, document outcomes by completing detailed inspection reports and performance records.
- Measure, track, and monitor improvements to the construction, production, manufacturing, installation process to ensure quality control.
- Maintain individual and departmental productivity targets, financial objectives, KPIs, and achievement levels.
- Promote group values, Code of Conduct, and associated policies.
- Contribute positively to technical, commercial, planning, safety, and quality performance of the organization, in accordance with client contractual regulatory requirements.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as directed and mutually agreed with line management.
- Execute quality inspections as per SP 1171, contract quality control plans, and inspection test packs, reporting to the relevant area Quality Engineer.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Welding Inspection Qualification (CSWIP 3.1 or AWS-CWI) or equivalent.
- ASNT Level 2 or equivalent in UT, RT, PT, MT.
- Certification in Quality Management Systems, Six Sigma, ISO, Total Quality Management or equivalent (preferred).
- B-Gas Certification.
- Proven experience as a Welding QC.
- Familiarity with latest quality-oriented trends in the industry.
- Knowledge of best practices.
- Strong writing and record-keeping abilities.
- Strong IT skills.
- Strong communication, planning, organizing, and leadership skills.
- Site-based job without family status.
- Food, accommodation, and transportation provided by the company.
- Mandatory:
Oil & Gas experience. - Leave cycle: 6 months followed by 14 days of paid leave (client-approved candidates/position only).
