Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

We are hiring a Senior QA/QC Engineer, on site in Muscat, to own the quality of the services a nation relies on.

What you'll do:
Set the test strategy, build the automation, and own the gates that decide what reaches production.

• Own the test strategy and quality plan across the platform, from unit and integration to end to end, performance, and security testing
• Design and build test automation frameworks, and wire automated tests and quality gates into the CI/CD pipeline
• Drive shift left and quality engineering, so quality is built in early, not inspected in at the end
• Build automated API, contract, UI, and regression suites that run on every change
• Coordinate performance and load testing, accessibility testing (WCAG), and security testing with the security team
• Own defect management, root cause analysis, and the quality metrics that signal release readiness
• Govern test data with synthetic and masked data, so no real citizen or sensitive data is ever used in testing
• Set quality standards and reusable test patterns, and mentor QA and QC engineers across teams

• You have owned quality for real production software, with the test strategy and automation to show for it
• You are hands on with test automation, fluent in a modern framework such as Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress
• You think shift left and quality engineering, not manual gatekeeping at the end
• You build tests into CI/CD, so quality is continuous, not a final phase
• You are strong across functional, API, performance, and regression testing, and you practice risk based testing
• You keep test data clean, and never put real citizen or sensitive data into a test environment
• You hold a Bachelor's or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• You read defects as signals, find root causes, and report quality in numbers leaders trust
• Bonus points for accessibility, security, or performance testing at government or large enterprise scale
• Fluent English required;
