Chef Middle East is one of the leading Food and Beverage Distributors in the region, is looking for a QA Coordinator - In Muscat, Oman. This role will be responsible to assist the QA Officer and maintain a management framework that incorporates and focuses on Quality Assurance and Health & Safety issues in all aspects of the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accomplish customers’ Food Safety assessment questionnaires and documentations required.
  • Respond to QA-related enquiries.
  • Prepare Corrective Action Request forms for customers and suppliers.
  • Filing and organization of various Quality Assurance documentations both soft and hard copies such as FSMS manual, procedures, policies, checklists and monitoring records.
  • Assist QAO on administrative tasks, including word processing, editing documents, presentations, filing and handling various internal document requests.
  • Author and update procedures and SOPs as needed.
  • (Dubai) Administer Food Watch BFS training requests and customer link approvals.
  • Facilitate external audits in the absence of QAO if necessary.
  • Perform monthly GWP and Vehicle Inspections in the absence of QAO.
  • Perform other relevant responsibility required by Chef Middle East Management.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Postgraduate / Graduate in Biotechnology, Food Technology, Science, Engineering or minimum two to three years of food plant or FMCG related experience, including direct relationship with plant sanitation or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers, managers, and employees alike.
  • Have a strong working knowledge of QA procedures and the legislation that applies to the food industry, including HACCP standards.
  • Preference for candidate with Basic or Intermediate Food hygiene training.
  • Must be familiar with current software packages such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
